I am very excited to share my interview with NewInBooks: Author Interview
I wear a lot of different hats – I am a wife and mom, engineer, IT QA professional, professor, and small business owner. I am also the founder of a writing group – the Carrollton League of Writers.
I live in a suburb of Dallas and love to ride bicycles and horses. I am a member of the National Space Society and have been a Trekkie for as long as I can remember.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ. This list is by no means exhaustive but in everything I do, I strive to follow what Paul wrote in Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Excellence comes in many forms and there is much value in writing informatively and writing for entertainment. I hope to do both.
I write clean fiction and nonfiction across several genres, always with the goal to uplift my readers with a fun and entertaining story that includes positive messages and an optimistic view of the future. We have all been through a lot these last few years – I hope you’ll allow my writing to be a welcome distraction from our sometimes chaotic world. Most days I spend my time working for an IT company, but in my spare time I am working hard at writing and teaching, spending time with my wonderful family, and riding my horse once in awhile…
